How to Have Fun With Outdoor Activities

The first activity is to feed the birds. You can create inexpensive pine cone bird feeders. To do this, you will need of course a pine cone (you can find one or buy one), peanut butter and birdseed. Start out by taking the pine cone and covering it with peanut butter. Then, you simply roll the peanut butter coated pine cone in some birdseed. You can hang your creation outdoors and watch the birds eat and eat.

Building a fort or igloo is not just for little children. These snow buildings are constructed from blocks of snow that you can cut from big hard snowdrifts. You will need to lay the blocks down one level, then another level and repeat until it's the size you want. Make it in a circle of course to get the igloo effect. As you go closer to the top, you will want to use smaller and fewer blocks until the top is closed. Don't forget to leave a spot open for a door so you can get inside!
Make some snow sculptures. Instead of making that old snowman, try something different by creating a beautiful snow sculpture. To carve one of these creations, you will need some buckets, spoons, snow shovels, trowels and gloves to keep your hands warm. This can be tons of fun for the entire family and spark your creative sides. When you are finished with these sculptures, you can then paint them. You can use spray bottles and fill them with water and food coloring. Spray the pain on the sculptures and make it colorful.
Go bowling in the snow. Grab ten 2-liter bottles and fill them up to 1/4 with water. The water will give them a base for stability. These bottles will be your "pins". Now, set up your 10 pins in a triangle like they do in the real bowling alleys. Then you can start bowling away!
The last wintry idea is to start an ice rink. You can either build it using a kit or by hand. A brand called NiceRink is a great brand that offers real results when creating your ice rink. This will give you hours of fun outdoors in the winter and your kids will be able to practice their skating skills!
